New Platform for Game Room Products Store

I’ve finally decided to try a new ecommerce platform. I’m moving 21st Century Home Entertainment. The platform is provided by myshopkart.net and seems to be working good.

The main reason for the change is that our supplier of Game Room Products, Casino Supplies and Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Supplies has such a large inventory that it was almost impossible to keep the inventory up to date.

Of our first 5 sales 4 were for items that were out of stock when we went to place the order with the dropshipper. Fortunately about the time we were trying to figure our how to use the XML feed from our supplier (which it turns out couldn’t be used by the storesonline platform) said supplier partnered with myshopkart.net to provide e-commerce stores with their products loaded and synced with the suppliers inventory.

While they tout the store to be preloaded and ready to sell in 5 minutes you’ll find it takes just a little bit longer to actually get it up and running. I had it live same day and had the domain name attached and forwarded to the new platform the next day. I’ve got the shipping and payment methods done by the second day as well. I expect I’ll have the home page ready by tomorrow (Day 4) as I’m doing a fair amount of image work.

I’ll try to keep you up to date of the progess and how well it maintains the few rankings we have on Google.
